Sandra Mendoza Ramos, RN
Admissions Director & RN Case Manager
In 2002 I began to work in the medical field after receiving my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I worked in an Infertility Clinic for 3 years. I enjoyed helping couples make their dreams a reality.
In 2005 I relocated to Harlingen, Texas where I began working in a clinical setting in an OBGYN office. This was a completely different experience in women's health. I was now fortunate to see the patient's throughout the pregnancy. I worked in Harlingen for 3 years. I had the opportunity to work in San Diego, California for the next 3 years but continued in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In 2011, my family experienced a traumatic medical encounter firsthand. This impacted my daughter directly, but I was now experiencing the role of caregiver. It was then that I realized that if it had not been for the nurses that were with us at that time, the experience could have been worse.
I returned to the Rio Grande Valley and returned to work at my previous employment working in an OBGYN office. It was in 2016 after being a Medical Assistant for 14 years that I decided to continue my nursing education. I now wanted to do for other families what the nurses in 2011 had done for mine.
I graduated in August 2017 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from Texas State Technical College. Shortly after I had the opportunity to work for Little Miracles Home Health. I have enjoyed working alongside patients, families, and my fellow nurses.
In December 2021 I received my Associates of Applied Science in Biology while waiting to be accepted into the RN program. With a lot of work, patience, dedication, and perseverance I received my Associates of Applied Science in Registered Nursing in 2022.
Currently, I am Director of Admissions & RN Case Manager along with other roles. In this position, I continue to be an advocate for not only our patients and families but our nursing staff as well at Little Miracles Home Health.
